What is Tribulus?

Tribulus Terrestris is a traditional herb that has been used in India and China for
centuries, if not thousands of years. This potent stamina boosting herb was
discovered in the west in the mid 90's when Eastern European olympic athletes began taking tribulus in
order to boost their natural testosterone levels, and thus performance. The active compounds within tribulus are
called steroidal saponins, and are
available in two varieties.
The two types,
named furostanol glycosides and
spirostanol glycosides, are thought to be
responsible for its testosterone boosting attributes. These active compounds are found primarily within the
leaf.
How does it
work?
Tribulus Terrestris
stimulates the body to release lutenizing hormone,
which then prompts the testes to produce more testosterone. This herb has the unique ability to elevate
endogenous testosterone production whilst not suppressing it. This means that your overall base testosterone level
will be permanently elevated.
Why should I take
tribulus?
As we age, it is a well known fact that a man's hormone
profile will deteriorate. It has been shown that an elevated testosterone level will;
 Increase lean body mass
Decrease body fat - especially adipose tissue around
the midsection
Reduce the chances statistically of heart
disease
Protect vital functions within that rely upon testosterone as
a catalyst
Over the age of 35 years old, our natutral testosterone
levels fall - leading to the obvious signs of reduced muscle mass, not to mention libido. For many centuries now
this herb has been used in India, Africa and more recently in certain parts of Europe for its
strength and power giving qualities. Tribulus,
especially Bulgarian Tribulus, has proven itself invaluable in the treatment of erectile
dysfunction and associated problems. This herb is quickly becoming popular within the circles of body
building, as it elevates natural testosterone levels without the risk of giving off
markers that a synthetic testosterone is being used - big news in
bodybuilding!

Is it safe to
use?
This herb has been used for hundreds if not thousands of
years without side effects by indiginous cultures, and by augmenting declining testosterone levels in men, it has
been shown that health and vitality increase over many markers. Testosterone deficiency, known also as hypogonadism, is quickly emerging as a medical
concern. A large number of epidemiologic studies demonstrate an association between
low levels of testosterone and a variety of
cardiovascular, metabolic and cognitive disorders. Read more in The Dangers of
